Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is the shortest and easiest route to Poon hill which lies at the elevation of 3210m at the foot hills of the Annapurna massif in the Annapurna region. Poon hill lies just 400m above the Ghorepani and is perfect view point of the Annapurna region. Ghorepani Poon Hill trek begins with the scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From Nayapul you follow the river bank of Modi Khola. During the trek you pass through the rhododendron and bamboo forest, terraced green hills, river valleys and visit villages of different ethnic people like Gurungs, Thakalis and Magars. En route you can enjoy the view of the river gorges, high water falls, panoramic views, natural beauty, warm greetings and hospitality of the ethnic inhabitants etc which will be an unforgettable memory in your life. On the way back you visit another beautiful village called Ghandruk. Here, you will experience Gurung ethnic culture, ethnic food and the lifestyle of the people. At Annapurna Conservation Area office you will get information about the project's different activities. The trekking journey starts at Nayapul just north of Pokhara and ends at Phedi.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival and transfer to Hotel

Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

Transfer to your hotel.

Rest and explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Drive to Pokhara (200 Km, 6 hours) Stay at Pokhara Hotel

Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus or flight (approximately 6-8 hours by bus, or 30 minutes by flight).

Pokhara is a beautiful lakeside city and a gateway to the Annapurna region.

Explore Pokhara and prepare for the trek.

Day 3 : Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (approximately 1.5 hours).

Pokhara to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga

Begin trekking from Nayapul.

Trek to Tikhedhunga, passing through picturesque villages and lush forests.

Overnight stay in Tikhedhunga.

Day 4 : Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani.

Ascend through rhododendron forests and stone staircases.

Reach Ghorepani, a charming village with stunning mountain views.

Overnight stay in Ghorepani.

Day 5 : Ghorepani to Poon Hill, Trek to Tadapani

Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) to witness sunrise over the Himalayas.

Return to Ghorepani for breakfast.

Trek to Tadapani through rhododendron forests and small settlements.
