Manaslu trek which was opened in 1992 is one of the unexplored and controlled trekking routes in the western part of Nepal. It is the challenging trek around the eighth highest mountain of the world, Manaslu. To trek in the Manaslu region, trekkers require the special permits. The high and remote Mt.Manaslu trek commences from Aarughat of Gorkha district and ends at Besisahar making a Circuit around Mt. Manaslu. It gives the experience of wilderness to the trekkers. Trekkers are awestruck with the serene beauty of this region. From Aarughat you follow the bank of the Budhigandaki River and passes through alpine and tropical areas full of ferns, bamboo and pine high waterfalls, Budi Gandaki Valley, various monasteries and Tibetan settlement, lakes, with a view of high enchanting view of snow covered mountains like Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Shringi Himal, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal etc. in this trek you can also hike to the T-usm valley which retains the age old culture and tradition untouched by modernity. You also cross the high Manaslu Larkya La Pass which is the highest point of this trek. To get full enjoyment of the pristine nature and culture of Manaslu circuit trekking, you have to venture in spring season and autumn season, i.e. from March to May and from September to December.
