Trek from Sundarijal to Chisapani: Begin your trek from Sundarijal. The trail ascends gradually through Shivapuri National Park, passing through lush forests and small settlements. It's a moderate trek that takes about 5-6 hours to reach Chisapani.
Overnight in Chisapani: Once you reach Chisapani, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Dorje Lakpa ranges. Stay overnight at a guesthouse in Chisapani.
Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot: After breakfast, start your trek towards Nagarkot. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. You'll pass through charming villages and terraced fields along the way. The trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot usually takes around 6-7 hours.
Arrive in Nagarkot: Nagarkot is renowned for its sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas, including Mount Everest on a clear day. Explore the area and enjoy the stunning vistas.
Overnight in Nagarkot: Spend the night in Nagarkot.
Trek from Nagarkot to Changunarayan: Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot. After breakfast, trek downhill from Nagarkot to Changunarayan. The trail passes through picturesque villages, terraced fields, and forests, offering glimpses of rural life in Nepal. The trek takes around 3-4 hours.
Visit Changunarayan Temple: Explore Changunarayan Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley, known for its exquisite wood carvings and ancient architecture.
Drive back to Kathmandu: After visiting Changunarayan, drive back to Kathmandu, which takes about 1-2 hours.
End of Trek: Your Kathmandu Valley Rim trek concludes upon your return to Kathmandu.
